Everybody is wondering, how is the nightlife here in London? The only way to describe is…… wow. You cannot believe the amount of places you can chill, hang out, eat, watch a show. Every weeekend there is an event going on the problem is… you have to know where to look. So far i’ve encountered 3 trendy places in SOHO, shoreditch and islington. The nightlife is quite amazing…..
so here’s another story.
As i was meeting an old elementary school friend for the first time in maybe about 2 years, she invited me go come hang out at a bar with her friends, where i encountered Canadians and as we reminisce about how bad the nightlife in Toronto is. Whereas here, working class people here will still go out on a weekday…. i mean…not going out til 1100 in bed by 1115…. they’ll go out until the early hours of the morning and still arrive to work the next day.
So… as we were chit chatting up a storm i decided to get a drink at the bar in theGreen & Red restaurant/bar, i’ve put my coat on the chair where i was sitting….. the bar was full so it took about 5 min to get a drink, i come back, magic……..my coat has dissappeared. The people i was sitting with were oblivious to the fact that my coat was there and somebody else took it…. so the rest of the night i was pissed off at everybody and i was giving everybody bad looks thinking they were wearing my coat. and we also went here
oh well, time to go shopping.. here or here

I’m trying to do the most updates as I can. the lack of updates are also a result of my lack of internet connection at my new flat. I wish i had more time to find a flat….
When you first hear of Paris you think of romance and love…. but from what I saw there is sooo much damn graffitti in the city. Anywhere and everywhere you would think graffitti writers would stop at a certain point, but i’ve seen them tag a monument and really old buildings… there graffitti on toilets, sidewalks, cars, trains, dogs people… you name it somebody has written over it….
le metro et tres difficile…. i hated it…. i didnt know where i was going….
taking a week off work made me unemployed again! wtf …. they lied!
its really weird making friends 5000 miles away when they were right in front of your nose the whole time…..
uhmm…. i had a really good hot chocolate drink…
we stayed in bastille…
catch ya later…

Hello kids,
I know I have been lacking on the updates but as you have known that in the last 2 months i’ve experienced things that don’t happen that often in a lifetime. I’ve had my luggage stolen, met and actually sat down with a blind lady, had my credit card rejected, literally I had no money in my bank account (it felt like high school), I am now living in my 3rd flat in 3 months, had no hot water for 2 days ( felt like university),……
So for the next 6 months I wil be living in a flat that only has 2 occupants. Myself and the flat owner.. Fabian. i’m paying a tad more than than the previous but well worth it…. no more annoying messy people or mother’s waking me at 6AM. The best part is it was only an 8 minute walk from the other austrailian flat. ( i still have their keys)…… but i have to hook up the internet myself….
more adventures with banking…. i just want to mention its been a hassle getting myself a national insurance number. This number is similar to the social security number back in canada. It enables me to work and get health care in this country. One thing i had to due is wait in line for 2 hours and be interviewed proving that I am looking for work… and the actual number is still in the mail. Without this number I am being taxed at the highest rate….. we’ll say my last paycheck i only receieved 55% of what I was owed. I knew coming here taxes were high… but not this high…. it blows!….. a turnoff, makes me want to go back….
did you know, you have to pay for a bank’s draft. I have found this when my landlord fabian wanted a cheque for first month’s rent and deposit. And somehow i mispelled his surname… how would I know my mishap would cost me a couple days and 25 quid.
The cookie jar isn’t big enough for oversized hands. There are already one to many people reaching for my homemade cookies! I should go back home and reclaim what i’m owed!…
i’m going to paris next week.
