chicken pizza and the mayan riviera

sooo I came back from the one of the hottest places i’ve been the whole year. The Mayan Riviera. Its almost 2hrs. south of Cancun.

Its very interesting I find alot of ancient things alot more interesting rather than sand and surf. I am amazed how ancient cultures are able to produce jaw-dropping structures. The place i’m talking about is the El Castillo in Chich’en Itza in Mexico. I am pretty disappointed I wasnt’ able to climb the historic steps of the the step pyramid however it was amazing to see it in its full glory……

So it got me thinking….. what kind of legacy would I leave behind?…. Am i going to be remembered two thousands years down the road?…… how are you going to be remembered?….

pictures and movies coming up soon…..

notes

i wanted to xxxchange currency from british pounds to u.s. dollars…. I went to several places and they wanted me to buy Canadian dollars first then get U.S….. that defeated the purpose of using pounds….

why do they have to make money like that…… also the exchange rate for the british pound sucked ass!!!!!… why now?

theme music I get money, 50 Cent, but really theme music should be a chopped and screwed version of this song…

I choose to be unemployed again.

After freelancing for 6 months, its quite a strange feeling that I have when I choose to be unemployed. Uncertainty of the next paycheck or the next contract may be discomforting for others. I have not really adjusted to that feeling. Constanty looking for new work is a repetitive grind and it can take its toll on your psyche if you are not prepared for it. However these feelings can only be best described if you experience them first hand, even though I’m still new on the freelancing scene but i can also see the benefits in doing so. Freelancing provides flexibility. You are able to take your days off and how long you want to. Your personal, social and professional network become larger quicker. Some financial rewards are also a bonus. However, I also realized that I also like the comforting feeling of a full-time position. Knowing you will have a job the next day or knowing your teeth can easily be taken care of if something goes wrong.

if you don’t know yet, my first phase of freelancing is done. I am going back to the great white north for a couple of months to reevaluate where I belong in this so-called universe what we call ‘life’…..
