Prior to the day of the event. I have to maintain my current ‘beach body’ , I registered for an 8 week trial that the gold’s gym in Makati. During my first workout, I usually do stretches in the studio. During my routine, 5 young beautiful ladies come in and asked to use the studio I said yes…… They were going to use the studio for rehearsal space to practice a dance routine. I’m doing stretches and 5 ladies are shakin’ their tang in the mirrors, so i can see everything…. yay!

The next day, my cousin told me we’re going to an FHM party. I thought it was going to be at a club and industry people were going to be there and doing their thing so i didnt bring my camera… So i went along, little did I know it was a fashion show extravagenza. It was held in the world trade centre in manila and the event place was close to half a football field. There was a catwalk, beer and alcohol stands at the back, and waitresses serving beer with people with cups. The whole place was full with people about a 60/40 guy-girl ratio. It was crowded, hot and you could not move one bit.
So how did I end up backstage you ask? My cousin has a friend who works with the producers of the show, so we got in as ‘production’ people.

Apparently last years event was much better, but I couldnt ask for anything more. So were all behind the stage and I’m gocking at every girl there…. There were models showing off lingerie and showing off nothing except body paint and little string n flap called a gstring…. There was a point in time where i was just standing there and 12 models with body paint just ‘passin me by’ (*cue music - tha pharcyde) My cousin’s friend, Diana also started talking to this “artista”s (starlets) and asking if we could take some pictures with them. I usuallly don’t do this kind of thing, however this was an exception to the rule…… I’m taking pictures with these models and I have no idea who these people are……..

now back the the 5 girls at the gym…….. i’m standing there again….i see 5 girls and madeup high heels et al….those were the same 5 girls… i put 2 and 2 together….. oh….. they’re group name is called ‘kitty girls’, a filipino version of the pussycat dolls….

today after the gym, i’m on the public transit system (MRT) and i’m looking at all the billboards……..and now i kinda know who they are.

Currently I am sitting in a Starbuck contemplating on how long I should stay here in the Philippines. I am taking a deep second look weather or not I should stay here long term. Recently it has only hit me that my current lifestyle cannot be supported on a freelancer salary here in Asia. As much I would like to stay here all the comforts that I am used to are still based in Canada…. so i guess i’m gonna grab a couple of drinks with a bunch of new friends i’ve met while i’m here…  i should actually go out and find a job!.. lol!

hey kids, you already know I have been going around the world trying to find work in the various places i’m staying to keep my spending money to a minimum.  It helps me to connect my worldwide network and meet new and exciting people. I am not able to find work. soooo, what am i gonna do???… singapore? bali?
